Building Community Partnerships to End Addiction

At Health Care Resource Centers (HCRC), we believe meaningful recovery begins with community connection. Through community partnerships across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, we collaborate with employers, nonprofits, and local organizations to increase access to treatment, provide education, and promote understanding about opioid use disorder.

Together, we’re forming a partnership to end addiction; uniting workplaces, neighborhoods, and outreach programs in the shared goal of helping individuals find hope and healing.

Partnering With Local Coalitions and Nonprofits

HCRC partners with community coalitions, harm-reduction programs, faith-based organizations, and local nonprofits to reach individuals who may not know where to turn for help. These partnerships help us deliver resources, connect residents to evidence-based care, and reduce stigma surrounding addiction.

Examples of community partners include:

  • City and regional public health coalitions
  • Recovery and peer support nonprofits
  • Faith-based or volunteer outreach programs
  • Harm reduction and overdose prevention groups
  • Housing and social service agencies
  • Educational and youth organizations

By collaborating with trusted local partners, we ensure that individuals in need can find treatment close to home—supported by people who understand their community.

Employer Partnerships for a Healthier Workforce

HCRC also works with employers and Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) to promote recovery-friendly workplaces. By providing educational resources and confidential referral pathways, we help businesses support employees who are seeking treatment for opioid use disorder without fear or stigma.

Employer partnership benefits include:

  • Confidential employee referrals to HCRC treatment programs
  • Access to methadone-based MAT programs that support stability and recovery
  • Workplace education on recognizing and responding to substance use concerns
  • Collaboration with HR and EAP teams to promote retention and safety
  • Customized awareness sessions for management and staff

When employers champion recovery, they strengthen both their workforce and their community.

Education and Community Outreach

HCRC is committed to community education and outreach that fosters understanding and compassion around addiction and treatment. Our team regularly partners with schools, nonprofits, and civic organizations to share information, resources, and training opportunities.

Our outreach includes:

  • Hosting or participating in health fairs and public events
  • Offering free presentations about addiction and recovery
  • Providing educational materials to schools and local groups
  • Supporting community observances like Recovery Month and Overdose Awareness Day

We believe that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools in the effort to save lives and support recovery.
