HCRC Boston Notice of Privacy Incident

BOSTON, Massachusetts, May 13, 2026 – Health Care Resource Centers Boston Treatment Center (HCRC Boston) has announced that on March 14, 2026, a privacy incident occurred involving the loss of a binder removed from the center that contained certain patient information. HCRC Boston became aware of this incident on March 19, 2026 and immediately took steps to conduct a thorough internal investigation.

The investigation revealed that the binder may have contained patient information including names, gender, dates of birth, patient identification numbers, dates of admission, treatment, and discharge, discharge reason, referral source, and last four digits of Social Security numbers. Importantly, HCRC is not aware of any actual or attempted identity theft, fraud, or other misuse of the affected information as a result of the incident.

HCRC Boston notified all affected individuals for whom it had current contact information and arranged to provide identity protection services including credit monitoring at no charge to all affected individuals for [twelve (12) months. Individuals who did not receive notification but believe their information may have been affected can call 1-866-656-6747 toll-free for additional information.
