Medicare Is Now Accepted At Most Locations

Where change begins.

Getting Started

Contact us today to begin a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program with Health Care Resource Centers (HCRC). An intake appointment will be scheduled if the individual is eligible*, and a comprehensive assessment will be completed upon arrival.

Intake & Admission

Intakes are scheduled as quickly as possible based on availability. An intake involves 2 components: clinical and medical. These are sometimes done on the same day but can be done on separate days. The intake appointments include:

  • Consultation with intake counselor and review of social and drug history.
  • Urinalysis including a drug screen for opioids and other illicit and prescription medications.
  • Physical examination and review of medical history with the program medical provider.
  • Referrals for additional medical or psychiatric treatment as needed.
  • Orientation to program policies and procedures.

*HCRC programs are available to individuals over 18 years of age who misuse opioids as their primary drug of choice and can provide evidence of opioid addiction.

What to Expect During Treatment

During the course of treatment, patients can expect to:

Identify their recovery goals and work with a counselor to build an individualized treatment plan.

Receive education on addiction, medication-assisted treatment, coping skills, relapse prevention and other recovery-related topics.

Have access to a physician and nurse practitioner to discuss medical concerns and ensure patients receive a therapeutic dose of medication.

Receive referrals for medical treatment and coordination of care with other medical providers as needed.

Be treated with dignity and respect by all HCRC program staff.

Obtain information and guidance about HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis C testing and treatment.

Patients are asked to comply with policies and procedures as required by law for the program to maintain their licensing and credentials. Compliance with these policies may include random drug screenings and breathalyzers. In addition, counseling is not only a critical component for patients working toward long-term recovery, it is also a legal requirement of participation in many MAT programs.

Treatment Fees

There is a daily medication fee for all patients that may be covered by participating insurance providers or self-paid by the patient. Find your HCRC location to see what in-network insurance providers are currently accepted.

HCRC accepts money orders at all locations and credit cards in select locations. Please note that cash and personal checks are not accepted at this time.

Guest Medication Services

HCRC welcomes patients in need of guest medication (dosing) services. Visiting patients will find our clinics easy to access with a focus on customer service. In preparation for guest medication, each patient’s home clinic will need to contact the guest medication clinic via phone or fax prior to arrival at the chosen location.

If you have any questions regarding the guest medication process, please contact us today.

Please include in your request:

  • Patient’s full name
  • Social security number
  • Driver license number or state ID card number
  • Date of birth
  • Dosing level / medical status
