HCRC Chicopee is an outpatient opioid addiction treatment program. Our addiction specialist physicians and practitioners help people recover from opioid use disorder. We also have nurses, counselors and social workers who support our clinicians in treatment. The bilingual staff members at HCRC Chicopee can also assist patients who speak English as a second language.
At HCRC, we aim to help our patients live fulfilling lives by offering evidence-based treatment in a respectful environment. We believe all people are capable of change, and we are here to assist!
Our staff specializes in providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT). This model of care includes medication, therapy and coordinated support that helps the patient with all aspects of addiction. Research shows that combining medicine with other addiction services helps patients maintain recovery. As one of our patients, you will receive quality treatment from experts who genuinely care about your recovery.
Methadone has 50 years of demonstrated effectiveness in patients with opioid use disorder. It provides the following benefits during treatment:
When you feel fewer withdrawal symptoms and cravings, it makes it easier to work toward recovery. You can focus on your goals and have a higher chance of staying committed to your treatment.
The MAT program at HCRC Chicopee includes comprehensive counseling services. We combine one-on-one and group therapy services to support you in the emotional aspects of recovery.
Individual therapy gives you the tools you need to manage your symptoms and handle stressful situations. Your sessions act as a safe place for you to talk about your past problems and how they impact you today. Many patients have past traumas or mental health symptoms that contribute to their opioid use disorder. By discovering these causes and teaching recovery skills, your counselor will help you work toward a brighter future.
During group counseling, you will find solidarity with others going through recovery. In your sessions, you and other patients will have a discussion, led by a trained counselor. These appointments give you the chance to connect with your peers in recovery and share coping skills. You can hold each other accountable in an accepting and compassionate environment.
The program at HCRC Chicopee features services that manage further aspects of recovery and community health. This extra support includes:
